  • Currently, there are 25 members of the PAW Patrol.
    • Originally, there were seven members.
  • All members (especially the original seven members) have had an official figure and vehicle toy released of them by Spin Master.
  • Skye, Everest, Ella, Liberty, Coral, and Roxi are the only female members.
    • Sweetie also helped in "Jet to the Rescue" and "All Paws on Deck".
    • Mayor Goodway has joined the team in "Pups Rescue a Rescuer" temporarily.
    • Chickaletta helped in "Pups Save a Freaky Pup-Day" and "Pups Save the Hatchlings".
  • Arrby helped in "All Paws on Deck".
  • The seven original members are the only characters to appear in every episode thus far.

    • However, in the theme song and most promotional statements, the pups are introduced in this order: "Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, Skye!"
    • Depending on the circ*mstances, the lineup adds or removes one or more of the four secondary members. Examples can be seen as followed:
      • "Rocky Saves Himself" (as he's missing cause of Mayor Humdinger and the Kitten Catastrophe Crew).
      • Literally only Marshall in "Pups Leave Marshall Home Alone" when called in for a mission with the rest of the pup packs and headwear.
      • In "PAW Patrol: On a Roll!", the entire main 6 pups (PAW Patrol), Everest and Tracker can be called in all at once.
    • In the main six line-ups, they would be lined up in rainbow order, if Chase's and Rocky's places were switched.
  • Each pup has a particular type of symbol on their water and food bowls to represent their job. For example, Chase has stars because his main job is as a police pup. Skye has clouds on her bowl because she flies through the air for her job.
  • So far, four members have had flashbacks to when they were considerably younger: Rubble in "Pups Get a Rubble", Cap'n Turbot in "Pups Save a Mer-Pup" , Chase in "Paw Patrol: The Movie", and Skye in PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie. The other original PAW Patrol members are seen in "Pups Get a Rubble," but they do not look or act any different from their current selves.
    • Rubble was found in a tree after trying to retrieve the pups’ soccer ball seen in "Pups Get a Rubble", forcing Chase to save him.
    • Chase was found by Ryder after he was abandoned in Adventure City and was saved by him in time to prevent a vehicular accident at the intersection.
    • Skye was found by Ryder after she run towards the blizzard in the forest.

  • Based on the insignia on Chase's uniform, he is a second-class detective or a police sergeant.
  • Rubble is confirmed to be the youngest pup in "Pups Get a Rubble".
    • However, with Tracker's arrival (who is four years old), he is currently the second-youngest.
  • Almost all of the members' names apply to their jobs.
    • Ryder is the only one to ride his vehicle on every mission.
    • Marshall the fire dog is named after a fire marshal.
    • Rubble is a construction pup.
    • Chase the police dog's name refers to a police chase.
    • Rocky the recycling pup has a name starting with "R" because of the "Three R's" (reuse, reduce, recycle).
    • Zuma the water rescue pup's name is derived from the filming location of "Baywatch" (Zuma Beach, California).
    • Skye the pilot's name refers to the sky.
    • Cap'n Turbot's surname (Turbot) is a type of fish.
    • Everest the snow rescue pup is named after the snowy Mt. Everest.
    • Tracker is able to track down anything using his advanced hearing.
    • Rex the dinosaur rescue pup is named after a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
    • Obviously, Robo-Dog's name refers to a robotic dog.
    • Tuck and Ella's names start with the same letters as their mighty powers (Tuck becomes tiny and Ella becomes enormous).
    • Wild’s name is associated with his daring stunts he does.
    • Liberty's name refers to freedom and is named after Statue of Liberty.
    • Al's name does not seem to be indicative of anything.
    • Coral's name is based off the coral reef.
  • All of the PAW Patrol members are based on real dog breeds.
    • Marshall is a Dalmatian.
    • Rubble is an English Bulldog.
    • Chase is a German Shepherd.
    • Rocky is a mixed-breed dog.
    • Zuma is a Chocolate Labrador.
    • Skye and Coral are both co*ckapoos.
    • Everest is a Husky.
    • Tracker is a Chihuahua (although he has also been called a Potcake Dog).
    • Tuck and Ella are both Golden Retrievers.
    • Rex is a Bernese Mountain Dog.
    • Wild is a ginger tabby.

  • Cap'n Turbot's full name is Captain Horatio Turbot (Francois calls him this in several episodes, such as "Pups Save the Diving Bell").
  • Marshall, Everest, Tuck, Ella, Coral (mixed with purple), and Roxi are the only pups with blue eyes.
  • Marshall and Chase are the only pups with sirens on their vehicles.
  • Marshall has a fear of flying, but he has no issues with climbing up his ladder.
    • As of "Air Pups", he no longer seems to be afraid of flying.
    • Despite getting over his fear, he admitted in "Sea Patrol: Pups Save the Flying Diving Bell" that he still gets a little chicken about it.
  • Marshall is the team's fire dog, Rubble is a construction pup, Chase is a police dog, Rocky is a garbage/recycling pup, Zuma is a water rescue dog and Skye is a helicopter pilot.
  • Rocky has faced his fear of water on multiple occasions, but he never seems to overcome it.
  • Ryder's ATV can transform into a hovercraft and a snowmobile.
  • Everest obtained her own flight suit in "Pups Save a Frozen Camp Out".
  • The pups' uniforms form a rainbow color except for purple.
  • In Season 2, Chase was given spy gear.
    • Marshall was also given a secondary job as a medic in Season 2.
  • Everest and Tracker met for the first time in "The Pups' Winter Wonder Show".
  • Most episodes in Adventure Bay seem to take place in the summer, minus some winter episodes such as "Pups Save Christmas", "Pups Save a Bah Humdinger", fall episodes such as "Pups Turn on the Lights" and "Pups Fall Festival" and episodes in spring such as "Pups Save the Easter Egg Hunt", "Pups Save a Sweet Mayor" and "Pups Save a Magic Trick".
  • The PAW Patrol have gone through a lot of technical vehicle additions including: the original PAW Patroller (defaced, then destroyed by The Cheetah), the Air Patroller, the Sea Patroller, the Mission PAW Cruiser, the Mighty Jet, the Dino Patroller, the new PAW Patroller (as the substitute for the original PAW Patroller), and the Whale Patroller (transformation from the new PAW Patroller for Aqua Pups sub-series).
  • Prior to constructing the Paw Patrol, Ryder met each of the main six pups in unique ways, each one also has a personal meaning to their jobs and how each one inspired Ryder to form the team.
    • Before the PAW Patrol discovered him, Rubble lived alone as an abandoned pup seen in Rubble's backstory, seen in "Pups Get a Rubble". And gave him the job of Construction Pup due to his love of digging.
    • Before Ryder discovered him, Chase was abandoned in Adventure City, upon saving him from being run-over, Ryder chose Chase out of his bravery and courage giving him the job as a Police pup referencing to what policemen and women show in real life.
    • Before Ryder discovered her, Skye was the runt of a litter and crawled into the blizzard just to find him, he admired Skye for her perseverance giving him the catchphrase "No pup is too small" giving her the job as the team's Aviator Pup referencing despite being small if one keeps their wits about them, then they'll always have wings to soar.
    • Before Ryder inducted her to the PAW Patrol, Liberty was a stray in the Adventure City and serves as their guide around and a temporary member.
      • The backstories of the rest of the main pups haven't been revealed yet.
  • Chase is the fastest pup while Marshall is the clumsiest but is faster than Chase by default in "Pups Save a Lucky Collar".
  • Of the pups, Everest is considerably the oldest, while Tracker is the youngest of the group.
  • Robo-Dog is the only robotic pup on the team.
  • Because he cannot talk, Robo-Dog is the only member without a real call-out. However, he uses a mechanized-sounding "Arf! Arf!" as a catchphrase of sorts.
  • In "Pups Save the Mayor's Tulips", the pups' toys when they were little were shown:
    • Rubble: His blanket
    • Chase: Officer Bear (stuffed teddy bear)
    • Skye: Mr. Squeaku*ms (a toy mouse)
    • Rocky: Building blocks

  • Chase, Marshall, Zuma and Rocky are the only pups with vehicles that have a second transformation to show their secondary jobs, such as Chase having super spy gear and Marshall having medical gear, or to extend the abilities of their main jobs: Zuma's submarine which is used for underwater missions, Rocky's tugboat which is used to collect trash on the open sea, Marshall's ambulance which provides medical gear and Chase's upgraded spy truck to support his friends.
  • As of Season 7, Rocky has a Reuse-It truck. He uses it to up-cycle stuff.
  • Their Mission PAW uniforms glow in the dark and have advanced gear.
  • Skye, Marshall, Zuma and Rocky transformed into mer-pups in the episodes "Pups Save a Mer-Pup" and "Merpups Save the Turbots".
    • Skye and Rocky transformed into mer-pups twice.
    • Zuma and Marshall transformed into mer-pups once.
  • In the episode "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Puplantis", all PAW Patrol pups transform into mer-pups.

  • As the seasons have progressed, the pups are more likely to lose the pup-packs while entering their own vehicles after the mission briefing. This is a common error that has been occurring for some seasons.
  • The PAW Patrol is an ongoing team and continue to get more members as of this point with the newest addition being Roxi.
  • Each of the original six pups, as well as Everest and Tracker, have stood on their hind legs sometime in the series.
    • Zuma is the first to, in "Pups Save Halloween".
    • Rubble is second to, in "Pups Save Halloween".
    • Rocky is third to, in "Pups Save Alex".
    • Marshall is fourth to, in "Pup-Fu!".
    • Skye is fifth to, in "Merpups Save the Turbots".

  • Nick Jr. made a commercial for the #KidsTogether that features pup paws, clips of some episodes and the final last seconds of the theme song before the logo.
  • The PAW Patrol are now Knights thanks to the Princess of Barkingburg during their actions to save Barkingburg.
  • The PAW Patrol have a lot of gear and themes based on different jobs:
    • Mission PAW: Global espionage.
    • Sea Patrol: Coast guard.
    • Ultimate Rescue: Policemen, Firemen, Aviators, Repairmen, Construction workers, Swampmen.
    • Mighty Pups, Super Paws/Charged Up: Superheroes.
