25 Spiralizer Recipe Ideas

First things first – this is the spiralizer I use. I like it for a couple reasons, but mostly because it’s insanely affordable, comes with 5 blades, is easy to clean and has lasted me for a few years with absolutely no issues thus far. Prior, I had one that was a hand crank and while it was fine, my arms hurt so badly after using it. So before we get into any recipes, just know that I love mine, they don’t pay or sponsor me to say it and I would buy 20 more if I needed to..it’s THAT good.

What Are Spiralized Vegetables?

You also may still be sitting here wondering – what the heck are spiralized vegetables?!

Spiralized vegetables are vegetables that have been transformed into long, thin, noodle-like strands or ribbons using a kitchen tool called a spiralizer. The spiralizer works by cutting vegetables into various shapes, often resembling pasta or noodles. This process can make vegetables more visually appealing and can be used as a healthier alternative to traditional pasta or as a way to incorporate more vegetables into your diet.

Common vegetables that are spiralized include zucchini, carrots, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, beets, and butternut squash. These spiralized vegetables can be used in a variety of dishes, such as salads, stir-fries, soups, and as a low-carb substitute for pasta in dishes like spaghetti or fettuccine.

Now…on to the delicious recipes!

Zucchini/Squash Noodles

Zucchini Alfredo – You cannot go wrong with this delicious zucchini alfredo from Damn Delicious. I mean seriously – what is bad with alfredo sauce on top?

Chicken Parmesan with Zucchini Noodles – This is a classic substitution I used when I was really early on in my zucchini noodle making adventure and I made it OFTEN, because I was like well, at least if Dane doesn’t like the “zoodles”, then he can eat the chicken. Oh no – he likes the zoodles! That said, I would highly recommend easing any hesitant family members into vegetable noodles this way 🙂

One Pan Zucchini Ribbon Skillet – For awhile, I was completely alluded by the ribbon-ing effect on vegetables. I realized a few years back that they aren’t spending hours upon hours with a peeler in their hands, they’re using a different spiralizing blade! This meal is DIVINE!

Spicy Shrimp With Basil Lime Pesto Noodles – In heaven, I hope they serve this meal. That is all.

Sun Dried Tomato Alfredo Zucchini Noodles – Okay I admit, my version of this recipe did NOT, I repeat NOT, look as pretty as Whole and Heavenly Oven’s, but her directions are simple to follow and this meal is a total 10!

Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp with Zucchini Noodles – Not only does this meal come together quickly, it’s filled with flavor. The key is not overcooking the zucchini noodles so they still have a bit of a crunch!

One Pot Pesto Chicken Alfredo Zucchini – Another one of the meals I used to get Dane on board with vegetables as noodles. It’s safe to say this is still one of his very favorites!

French Onion Zoodle Bake – French Onion Soup is one of our favorite foods, so when I saw this I knew I needed to try it out immediately. OMG – thank you Climbing Grier Mountain for this gem!

Sweet Potato Noodles

Sweet Potato Pad Thai – Would this even be a good blog post if I didn’t include one of my own recipes? But seriously – I make this at least 2 times per month and it’s AMAZING as leftovers, which says a lot considering you can’t usually get me near something leftover!

Sweet Potato Noodles with Creamy Cashew Sauce – Can you go wrong with a Pinch of Yum recipe? I mean, I’ve been making these recipes for years and have yet to encounter a bad one. I will say that this recipe takes a bit of prep work, but it’s SO worth it!

Thai Peanut Sweet Potato Noodles – This recipe from The Fitchen was one of the first sweet potato noodle recipes I ever made and I still make it all these years later. It’s a keeper that’s filled with flavor!

Brussels Sprouts and Sweet Potato Noodle Bowl – I think most people would agree that Inspiralized is the OG vegetable spiralizer and this bowl does NOT disappoint!

Sweet Potato Noodle Salad – This Savory Vegan knocks it out of the park with this crunchy salad that is incredibly filling. Make sure you make extra dressing!

Spiralized Sweet Potato, White Bean + Kale Bake -Another dinner winner from Inspiralized. I was initially kind of hesitant about this one, because I just didn’t know about those ingredients mixing together flavor-wise, but I should know better than to doubt her at this point! So tasty!

Spiralized Sweet Potato Enchilada Bake – Oh man, my mouth is watering big time on this one just typing it up. This is a favorite at our house! I switch up the add-ins based on what I’ve got in my pantry/refrigerator.

Honey Mustard Sweet Potato Salad – Okay, Kevin Is Cooking is GOLD with this one. I was kind of hesitant about it, because eh – warm salad?! But OH MY WORD…get on this ASAP!

Apple Noodles

Spiralized Apple + Quinoa Salad – The Hanging Spoon does not disappoint with this, but the real star of the show is that fig dressing – OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS. I have just made the dressing and used it on other recipes and it’s outta this world good.

Spiralized Apple Crumble – Where are my people who love apple pie? This is like apple pie’s fancy cousin. I love it + so do people at parties…this makes a ton!

Apple Noodle Breakfast Bowls – To be totally transparent, from a flavor perspective these are the same as a normal breakfast bowl with cinnamon, BUT! There is something that is much more satisfying about eating spiralized apples, so I can’t recommend testing them out enough! I like to spiralize a bunch of apples at the beginning of the week to make putting them together in the morning easier!

Spiralized Apple Fritters – Okay I will be honest, the recipe calls to serve these with yogurt, but I threw caution to the wind, nixed that part and served them with ice cream on top. HOLY sh*t. Make immediately.

Butternut Squash Noodles

Butternut Squash Pasta Carbonara – Okay admittedly, I tried to fool Dane with this one from Cooking Classy and he was immediately like…this isn’t pasta. That said – it was still completely delicious and I’ve made it since, but just maybe don’t try to trick your spouse 😉

Butternut Squash Noodles with Cauliflower Alfredo – I know what you’re thinking…Kait, there are too many substitutions in this meal. But hear me out – it’s DELICIOUS. I hesitate to call it ALFREDO, but dang – it’s got a flavor all it’s own and it’s freaking good.

Cucumber Noodles

Cucumber Watermelon Salad – Admittedly when I first saw this, I did not have a favorable opinion on it (like some of the others above), but I have really been forcing myself from a judgy food mindset (thank you, Anthony Bourdain) so I dove in. I’m so glad I did, because even though I DESPISE cutting watermelon, this salad makes it worth it. Plus, it’s REALLY GOOD for taking to parties.

Spicy Thai Cucumber Salad – We eat a fair amount of Thai-inspired recipes at this house, so when I came across this goody from One Little Project, I bookmarked it for later. The flavor of the sauce alone makes this recipe worth your time…trust me!

Spiralized Greek Salad – Okay yes, you can totally make a Greek salad without your spiralizer, but why would you? This makes it so much more fun + if you have any leftover spiralized cucumbers from either of the above, you can make it in pretty much any size. SO YUM!

Okay, now that I’ve share my tried + tested favorite spiralizer recipes, please share yours! If you can’t tell, I’m a little obsessed 😉 And if you loved this post and want to hang on to some of the recipes shared, be sure to pin it for later below!
