Consider the colours of the season

So, colour-wise – anything that complements these gorgeous autumn colours will work really well. That means warm neutrals, creams, tan, beige, orange, mustard yellows, and light and dark browns. Navy blues, greys and warm berry colours also look fantastic at this time of year.

My favourite colours for fall are colors like crimson. Aubergine (eggplant), emerald, navies, yellows, and rusty oranges work as well! Especially when they're mixed with neutrals such as greys and creams. Pick up to two colours unless you're an expert, and mix with neutrals for a put together look.

Think muted colors.

Avoid overly saturated and bold colors, as they distract in the photo. Look for MUTED versions of the same color. For example, if you have a bright hot pink shirt, try a muted dusty rose instead.

Number of Outfits

For a full day session (4 – 8 hours), I usually suggest my client have 3 – 5 complete outfits for their session. You will want to create a variety of looks with these outfits so that you have a lot of variety in your photos.
