The Canon 1DX is an amazing platform for aerial shooting as it gives you the flexibility of having a single platform that shoots amazing stills but also 4K video at 60 frames per second. Having these 2 capabilities in one body allows you to switch modes with the flip of a switch without missing the shot.
Panasonic Lumix GH5
If you’re flying to shoot smooth cinematic video the GH5 is the camera you want to use. The micro four-thirds sensor with in camera stabilization delivers epic cinematic 4K footage. This platform is also incredible for shooting silky smooth slow motion shots with it’s capability to shoot 1080p video at 240 frames per second.
Sony A7RIII
Looking for incredible detail in your shots? The Sony A7RIII with 42.4 mega-pixels will deliver shots with an enormous amount of detail. You will not have to worry about image quality degrading if you need to crop in on an image during the editing process to get the perfect frame. This body will also be perfect for shooters looking to blow their images up for prints, advertising, etc.
Canon 5D Mark IV
An all around great body for shooting aerials is the 5D Mark IV, from it’s resolution to its color science it’s the perfect camera to take up in any scenario. Our content team’s favorite combination is the 5D with the Canon 16-35mm 2.8 as it gives you the capability to get those wide epic shots.
Iphone Camera
The one piece of gear our content team and 99% of our customers take up everytime is a smartphone. It’s an incredibly versatile camera, exposes images correctly for you, has great 4K video at 60 frames per second and has a good slo-motion mode. Burst mode on an iphone assures a good shot when doing a pass on iconic landmarks.
