Yes, the loft on the Titleist TS3 driver is adjustable. The TS3 comes with a SureFit hosel that allows sixteen different loft and lie settings to increase or decrease the draw and fade bias of the shots.

How do I adjust my Titleist TS3 driver?

The Titleist TS3 driver has a SureFit hosel that can be adjusted to sixteen different settings. The company provides a Titleist wrench with the club to remove the screws and separate the head from the club shaft or change the swing weight.

Don’t use any other wrench to open the screws. It will damage the screw head and the club.

  1. Place the wrench on the screw that connects the head to the club shaft. Turn it in the anticlockwise direction to remove the head.

The shaft rings can now move freely and be changed to any setting you want. The top ring has letters (A, B, C, & D), and the bottom ring has numbers (1, 2, 3, & 4) that correspond to the setting combination.

  • The loft angle can be increased by up to 1.5° and decreased by up to 0.75°.
  • The lie angle can be made more upright by 1.5° and flattened by up to 0.75°.
  1. Set the position of the rings based on your choice and replace the head on the club shaft.
  2. Turn the wrench in the clockwise direction to tighten the screw until you hear the click sound.

The Titleist TS3 is known for its high ball speed. It is a powerful driver that can produce ball speed even if the shot is off-center. The titanium crown is lighter and the head has a new aerodynamic shape. Even though it’s not as forgiving as TS2, TS3 is the right choice if you want the best launch and spin.

When the loft is increased, the driver plays draws better.

The launch and ball spin are more but the distance covered is lesser than with the standard setting. The clubface also closes during impact. In contrast, a decreased loft makes the driver ideal for a fade with an open clubface. The distance increases while the ball spin and the launch becomes lower.

What is the difference between the Titleist TS2 and TS3?

The main difference between the TS2 and TS3 is that the weight can be adjusted on the TS3, but not on the TS2.

The following are some differences between Titleist TS2 and 3 drivers.

  • Appearance and Feel

Titleist TS2 has a modern look while TS3 has a traditional design. However, both drivers have a solid construction and are made from the finest materials.

TS2 has a wider body with more weight outside the club. This results in the driver having more MOI (Moment of Inertia).

  • Adjustability

The loft and lie angles of the TS2 can be adjusted, but the weight is immovable and cannot be changed unless you get it custom made.

TS3 comes with the same SureFit adjustable hosel. However, it also has a SureFit CG movable magnetic weight. The weight can be removed and replaced.

  • Forgiveness

TS2 is slightly bigger and more forgiving than TS3.

  • Distance and Speed

TS3 offers more distance and a mid-launch while TS2 provides a high launch. The TS3 driver also helps players to deliver shots with better accuracy.

  • Sound

TS3 makes a solid thwack sound when the ball hits right in the center. It helps gauge the accuracy of the shot and correct the technique. However, the sound still feels quiet compared to the loud smack sound made by TS2.

Titleist TS3 driver weight adjustment settings

The Titleist TS3 driver comes with a moveable and adjustable magnetic swing weight. The standard weight of 0.388 oz (11grams) can be changed by replacing it with any other weight designed exclusively for TS3.

You get weights that are 2 and 4 grams less than the standard weight and 2, 4, and 6 grams more than the standard weight.

How to Adjust the Driver Weight Settings

  1. Use the Titleist wrench to remove the screw and replace the weight. The weight has two magnetic caps on either side.
  2. Turn the wrench in the anticlockwise direction and remove it from the head.
  3. Slide out the cylindrical weight, remove the cap from one end of the cylinder and place it over the cap already existing on the other end.
  4. Slide the cylinder back into the slot, ensuring that the cap end is facing you (or stays at the top). This change of caps will result in a maximum draw bias.
  5. Put the cap side inside first to experience maximum fade bias.
  6. Place caps on both sides to get neutral shots.
  7. Put the screw back and tighten it by turning the wrench in the clockwise direction. Stop when you hear a click sound.

Follow the same procedure to replace the standard weight with decreased or increased SureFit CG weights.

Titleist TS3 D1 setting

The D1 setting of the Titleist TS3 driver depends on whether you are playing with a right-handed driver or a left-handed driver.

Right-handed Players:

The D1 setting decreases 0.75° from the standard loft angle and retains the standard lie angle. It has a neutral face and offers minimum fade bias.

Left-handed Players:

The D1 setting increases the standard loft angle by 1.5° and maintains the standard lie angle. It has a neutral face and offers some draw.

Titleist TS3 draw setting

The draw setting of TS3 depends on your dominant hand and the movable weight.

Right-handed Players:

For most draw and maximum ball height, use the A3 setting where the loft angle and lie angle are increased by 1.5° and the face is in the upright position.

A2 will also provide more draw with the standard loft but increased lie angle by 1.5° and the driver has an upright face.

Left-handed Players:

For most draw and maximum ball height, opt for the D2 setting where the lie angle and loft angle are raised by 1.5° and the clubface is in an upright position.

D3 will also provide more draw with the stated loft but increased lie angle by 1.5° and an upright face.
