The Queen has made a surprise appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony to wrap-up her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The 96-year-old thrilled royal fans when she stepped out with Prince Charles, Camilla, the Duke and duch*ess of Cambridge and their three children to mark the end of festivities on Sunday.

It comes after the monarch, who has battled mobility issues in recent months, was forced to pull out of Friday’s church service at St Paul’s Cathedral and Saturday’s Epsom Derby after suffering from “discomfort”.
Her Majesty wore bright green and carried a walking stick on her arm as she waved to the cheering crowd and watched on as they sang the national anthem.
The Queen released a statement shortly after the appearance saying she was “humbled and deeply touched” by the support she had received.
“When it comes to how to mark 70 years as your Queen, there is no guidebook to follow. It really is a first. But I have been humbled and deeply touched that so many people have taken to the streets to celebrate my Platinum Jubilee,” she said.

“While I may not have attended every event in person, my heart has been with you all; and I remain committed to serving you to the best of my ability, supported by my family.
“I have been inspired by the kindness, joy and kinship that has been so evident in recent days, and I hope this renewed sense of togetherness will be felt for many years to come.
“I thank you most sincerely for your good wishes and for the part you have all played in these happy celebrations.”
The balcony appearance immediately followed a huge star-studded pageant along the streets of London and a performance by Ed Sheeran outside the palace.
The event began with a military parade featuring thousands of personnel from the UK’s armed forces and from across the Commonwealth, including Australia.
The 260-year-old Gold State Coach, which carried the Queen to her coronation in 1953, then rode through the streets.
The monarch appeared as a hologram in the windows of the historic coach.
Thousands of marchers and carnival floats then followed the 3km pageant route celebrating all seven decades of Her Majesty’s reign.
Many British national treasures were involved, including Sir Cliff Richard, Gary Lineker, Dame Shirley Bassey, Bill Bailey, Gok Wan, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.
Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George - the next three generations of monarchs - all watched from the royal box.
The duch*ess of Cambridge, Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson were also in attendance.
The Duke and duch*ess of Cambridge later tweeted: “Amazing display of street art, theatre, music, sport and more... what a joyous occasion!”
The pageant immediately followed the Big Jubilee Lunch, which saw Britons gather with their friends, families and neighbours for street parties and backyard meals.
Previous events during the jubilee weekend included Trooping the Colour, the lighting of the Platinum Jubilee Beacon and a huge concert outside the palace.
