Why You’ll Love This Easy Latte

  • Beginner Latte Recipe: This so stinken simple to whip up.
  • No Special Equipment: I included two ways to make this latte. One uses the classic supplies like an espresso maker and frother, while the other uses a mason jar.
  • The BEST Starbuck’s Copycat: No need to wait in line; make this delectable potion in the comfort of your kitchen and get ready to savor the magic sip after sip.

“Ok. First it’s not difficult to make at all! Might just be a new favorite of mine!!”

– Alisa

Coffee is my life line. I used to love to hit Starbucks before work every day, but that starts to add up. Since I started working from home I decided it might not be the best habit to keep up, BUT I was not ready to give up my morning cup. Turns out, making latte’s in your own kitchen is incredibly simple AND I get to stay in my pajamas.

I started to experiment and have come up with some insanely delicious recipes that rival my favorites at Starbucks. Including this one. Nothing quite hits that sweet spot like the combination of warm cinnamon and sugar. It’s like my favorite cookie turned into a warm latte that fills my stomach with a warm hug.

Snickerdoodle Latte Ingredients

Are you ready, my friends, to see how easy it is to play barista? This recipe needs only a handful of ingredients and there are a few substitutions you can use too! Here’s what you will need to get started:

  • Coffee or Espresso: I just ordered my first Nespresso Machine (affiliate) and can confidently say it makes a killer latte. Especially when you use the Starbuck’s blonde roast. However, this is equally delicious substituting a strong brewed cup of coffee!
  • Brown Sugar: Here’s a secret. This uses brown sugar and spices, which is a killer time saver if you are out of drink syrup, OR you can use my brown sugar cinnamon syrup recipe. Both work well.
  • Cinnamon and Nutmeg: The perfect spice duo to get you that snickerdoodle cookie flavor.
  • Milk: I use 2% milk or oat milk. That’s just a preference. You can for sure substitute with other milk varieties, however I can’t confirm that they will all froth like I know these two do.

Copycat Starbucks Snickerdoodle Latte Recipe

I mention that you don’t need any fancy equipment for this recipe and here’s why: We’re frothing the milk in a mason jar. I’ve been doing this for YEARS. It’s an easy way to whip up your own latte at home without investing in anything special. The secret? Use whole milk and put some muscle into shaking that mason jar! Here’s how to whip up this latte:

  1. PREP: Pour the espresso or hot coffee into a large mug and set aside.
  2. SHAKE METHOD: Add the brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, and milk into a 16 oz mason jar. Secure the lid and shake as hard as you can for one minute. Remove the lid from the jar and microwave for 30 seconds. This will help the foam rise and stabilize.
  3. FROTHER METHOD: Add the brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, and milk into a 16 oz mason jar. Heat for 30 seconds in the microwave. Place your milk frother into the glass, being sure to submerge it completely, and froth for about 20 seconds, or until foamy.
  4. ENJOY: Pour the warm sweetened milk into your coffee and spoon the foam on top.

Helpful Tools:

  • Espresso Machine: OR a coffee machine (affiliate). I recently purchased a smaller Nespresso (affiliate) which was surprisingly more affordable than their larger machines and makes a tasty espresso!
  • Mugs: I love to make these inglass mugs(affiliate) so you can watch the tea and milk slowly combine into each other for a beautiful cloud like experience.
  • Mason Jar: I don’t own afrother(affiliate), so I make my foam milk in amason jar(affiliate

Recipe Notes:

Can I make a non-coffee version of this latte?

Absolutely! You can substitute the espresso or coffee with a strong brewed chai tea or a coffee alternative like decaffeinated coffee or herbal coffee.

What type of milk should I use for the latte?

You can use any milk of your choice, such as cow’s milk, almond milk, soy milk, oat milk, or coconut milk. Choose the one that suits your taste and dietary preferences. However, any milk that is non dairy may not foam the same.

Can I adjust the sweetness level of the latte?

Absolutely! Adjust the amount of sweetener to suit your taste. You can use sugar, honey, maple syrup, or a sugar substitute like stevia.

Can I serve this latte iced?

Absolutely! To make an iced snickerdoodle latte, let the coffee mixture cool, pour it over ice, add cold milk, and stir well. Don’t forget the cinnamon sprinkle on top! Try serving this with Chocolate Chip Muffins! The perfect flavor duo.

Can I add whipped cream or other toppings to the latte?

Absolutely! Whipped cream, caramel drizzle, or crushed snickerdoodle cookies make delightful toppings to elevate your snickerdoodle latte experience.
