How do you qualify for a nursing bursary? ›

The applicant must have a good academic record. The applicant must have proof of application/registration to a Tertiary Institution. The applicant must not be in receipt of another bursary. The student must not have another degree/diploma.

All nursing students on courses from September 2020 will receive a payment of at least £5,000 a year which they will not need to pay back. Nursing students will benefit from guaranteed, additional support of at least £5,000 a year to help with living costs.

How many hours a week are nursing clinicals? ›

During your clinical rotations, you will generally be in a facility anywhere from five to eight hours a day, once a week. Again, this may vary depending on what nursing program you are in, and if it's a day vs night program.
