SCAC (2024)

The Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) is a unique two-to-four-letter code used to identify transportation companies. NMFTA developed the SCAC identification codes in the mid 1960's to facilitate computerization in the transportation industry. Although not required, many shippers use this number for billing purposes and will not engage your services unless you have a SCAC. This applies to brokers and carriers.

To have a SCAC application filed by Freight Movers School on your behalf, fill out the form below and submit it for processing. Once your completed form and payment is received, a filings specialist will contact you within 24 hours during regular office hours of Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST.
