And this is the part most people miss: according to Samsung’s recent European research, 57% of people feel that taking photos pulls them out of the moment they’re trying to enjoy. Isn’t that ironic? Tom Craig, whose work has graced the pages of Esquire, Vanity Fair, and Vogue, uses the Galaxy Z Fold7 to remove distractions like traffic from a bustling Piccadilly Circus scene with just one tap. Craig argues that while smartphones empower us to capture life’s highlights, we shouldn’t let the quest for the ideal shot overshadow the experience itself.

The research reveals more eye-opening insights: 45% of respondents feel pressured to take the perfect photo, and 73% wish they could live more in the moment without worrying about capturing it. Yet, 83% admit they take photos to preserve memories, and 30% do so to look good on social media. Is this pressure a reflection of our digital age, or a natural desire to hold onto fleeting moments?

When reviewing photos, 86% of people notice unwanted elements like photobombers, stray objects, or shadows. Surprisingly, 74% have never used AI tools to fix these issues. The campaign highlights how Galaxy AI’s Generative Edit can refine photos later, allowing users to enjoy the moment first. But here’s a counterpoint: Does relying on AI to ‘perfect’ our memories risk losing the authenticity of the original moment?

Key moments lost to photo-taking include family celebrations, iconic landmarks, and even children’s milestones.
