Is a 1.0 failing at MSU? ›

NS-Not Satisfactory – No credit granted represents a level of performance below 1.0 for undergraduate students and below 2.0 for graduate students except for the College of Veterinary Medicine Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students where NS represents performance below 1.0.

CSS 202: World of Turf

This is probably the easiest class offered at MSU. The main purpose of this course is to learn about the role of turf in society. How much easier could it get? Well, as if it weren't enough of an easy 4.0 class, the entire course is online.

A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher with strong grade performance. 24 or more credits deemed transferable to MSU, earned after high school graduation. Applicants with less than 24 transferable credits are required to provide final high school transcripts.

Most colleges and universities generally consider a "D" (or a 60% to 69% score) as a passing grade. It's important to note that this minimum or lowest passing grade standard can significantly vary depending on the institution or major. For instance, some universities may require a "C" or better to pass.

Michigan State University has an acceptance rate of 88%. Half the applicants admitted to Michigan State who submitted test scores have an SAT score between 1100 and 1340 or an ACT score of 24 and 30.

Considerations: MSU will review your GPA (weighted if available) for ninth through 11^th grades. Should you choose to submit a test score, only your best ACT or SAT test score will be used.

With a GPA of 3.8, Michigan State requires you to be near the top of your class, and well above average. You'll need mostly A's, ideally with several AP or IB classes to help show your preparation at a college level.

Is Michigan an elite University? U-M ranks number 23 and 25 in world and national university rankings, compared with MSU, which ranks number 77 and 157, respectively. Though the two schools may not be Ivy League, both are considered Public Ivies, offering an Ivy League-level education at a public college price.
