Parents need to know that Monopoly is an app version of the classic board game for iOS and Android devices. The game tasks players with purchasing a variety of properties, attempting to own every space on the board while exhausting the cash of their opponents. There are in-app purchases for additional tokens and themed boards that kids will likely feel a lot of pressure to buy. Items range from $1.99 for a single token to $29.99 for a complete content unlock, which don't require any additional parent permissions to buy. Kids can opt to play online with random players, but there's no chat. Players can customize their usernames which could result in some questionable content, but otherwise, there's no inappropriate content. What’s It About?
MONOPOLY brings the classic board game to life with this modern take. Kids can choose to play solo against up to three AI opponents, in person with friends, online with strangers/AI, or online with friends/AI. There are three game options: classic play, quick mode, and a custom mode with options that either shorten the game or add twists like requiring that all properties go to auction. Die-hard fans may appreciate the add-on token, board, and theme (combo token and board) packs that are available for in-app purchase.
