Adding server to favorites
- Launch Steam
- Go to Servers (found under View) in the menu.
- Then click on Favorites.
- Now, the IP address (with the query port) of the game server can be added to the FAVORITES tab with a right-click(add server by IP address)
- Don’t forget to click “Refresh” after adding, otherwise you won’t be able to join the server.
Finding servers through in-game search
- Start ARK.
- Click on Join ARK.
- Select Unofficial under SERVER FILTER at the bottom.
- Enter 4netplayers (only works for branded servers) or part of the server name in the NAME FILTER at the top.
- Now, search for your own server using the self-assigned name.
DirectConnect on game startup
- Launch Steam.
- Right-click on the game ARK: Survival Evolved in your library, and click on Manage.
- Click on Properties.
- Under the GENERAL tab, click on Set launch options….
- Enter ShooterGame.exe +connect YOUR IP:Gameport +password “YOUR PASSWORD” into the field.(Replace YOUR IP:Gameport and YOUR PASSWORD with your own values.)
- Click OK.
Now, ARK will always start on the specified server.
Directconnect via shortcut
- Right-click on the desktop and create a new shortcut.
- Enter the following into the shortcut:
steam://connect/YOURIP:QueryportReplace YOURIP and Queryport with the values of your server.
