FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

My sauce is too thick, what can I do?

If your sauce is too thick, add additional heavy cream or milk to thin it out. If you add additional cream, you may need to add additional seasonings so you don’t lose any flavor.

Can I use chicken breasts instead of tenderloins?

Yes, but make sure that you cut them thin enough for this recipe and to use the same weight called for in the recipe itself.

Can I add broccoli to Chicken Alfredo?

Absolutely! I would steam the chopped broccoli first. Then add it to the mixture just before serving and gently toss.

Could another meat be used instead of chicken?

Instead of chicken, you could use shrimp or steak. Broccoli and mushrooms are also great to add to an alfredo dish. You can also use rotisserie chicken to make this recipe go faster!

What goes well with Chicken Alfredo?

This is best served with a salad and breadsticks! That is what you would usually get at the restaurant, so that is what we usually serve this Chicken Alfredo with.

What is the difference between chicken alfredo and chicken fettuccine?

There is no difference. They are the same thing. Sometimes you will hear “Chicken Alfredo” referred to as “Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo”. Chicken Alfredo is strictly an Italian-American invention.

How do I store leftovers?

Alfredo sauce is best when served the same day. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 1-2 days. Reheat in a pan over medium to low heat. Add additional heavy cream if needed to thin the sauce out.
