The festive season is upon us, and with all the excitement and hustle and bustle, it's easy to forget about the mundane task of putting out the bins! But fear not, we've got you covered with a comprehensive guide to keep your waste management on track during Christmas and New Year.

A Friendly Reminder for Cheshire East Residents

For our lovely residents in Cheshire East, it's important to note that there will be some changes to your usual collection dates. Don't worry, we've got all the details right here to ensure you don't miss a beat.

Collection Date Changes: The Need-to-Know

Councillor David Jefferay, the chair of Cheshire East Council's environment and communities committee, has shared some crucial information. The changes will only impact households with Thursday or Friday collection days for recycling (silver bin) or residual waste (black bin). Some collections will be brought forward, while others will be pushed back, depending on your regular schedule. You can find more detailed information on the council website and the online bin collection calendar, which has been updated with the new dates.

Helping Our Community

Councillor Jefferay encourages us to look out for our relatives, friends, and neighbours who may not have internet access. Let's ensure they don't miss out on any collections by sharing this vital information.

Garden Waste Recycling Scheme

For those interested in the Garden Waste Recycling Scheme, please note that collections will finish on Friday, December 19. However, if you're keen to sign up or renew your subscription for 2026, you can do so now, and your garden waste will be collected from January onwards.

A Special Thank You

Let's take a moment to appreciate our waste colleagues who will be working tirelessly to provide essential services over the festive period. Their dedication ensures our community remains clean and healthy.
