The changes will only impact households with Thursday or Friday collection days for recycling (silver bin) or residual waste (black bin). Some collections will be brought forward, while others will be pushed back, depending on your regular schedule. Garden Waste Recycling Scheme
For those interested in the Garden Waste Recycling Scheme, please note that collections will finish on Friday, December 19. However, if you're keen to sign up or renew your subscription for 2026, you can do so now, and your garden waste will be collected from January onwards.

Residual Waste (Black Bin) Collection Dates
- Black bins due for collection on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25) will be collected on Tuesday, December 23.
- For those with black bins due on Boxing Day (Friday, December 26), the collection date is now Monday, December 29.
- Looking ahead to the new year, black bins scheduled for New Year's Day (Thursday, January 1) will be collected on Monday, January 5.
Recycling (Silver Bin) Collection Dates
- Silver bins due for collection on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25) will now be collected on Monday, December 22.
- If your collection date falls on Boxing Day (Friday, December 26), you'll need to put your silver bin out on Tuesday, December 30.
- For those with silver bins due on New Year's Day (Thursday, January 1), the collection date has been moved to Tuesday, January 6. A little patience is required!
