How much might John Dutton's Yellowstone Ranch be worth? Let's take a look 👇In an early episode, Chief Thomas Rainwater from the Broken Rock Reservation tells John that he owns “a ranch the size of Rhode Island," which suggests the family ranch is more than 776,000 acres. So, let's be conservative and ballpark it at 750,000 acres.In another early episode, Willa Hayes and her firm Market Equities express interest in purchasing some of John Dutton's land, offering $10,000 per acre for 50,000 acres. Assuming that price per acre is maintained across all 750,000, you're looking at a cool $7.5 BILLION for the fictional ranch. But how realistic is that?Not very. Instead, it's better to look at actual comparables!Enter: W.T. Waggoner Ranch of North Texas — "The Largest Ranch Under one Fence" at a staggering 535,000 acres. The Waggoner Ranch had been under the same family ownership since Texas was just four years old, until it was listed for sale in 2016 for $750 million.Stan Kroenke, the controversial sports mogul and husband to Walmart heiress Ann Walton, bought the W.T. Waggoner Ranch for an undisclosed amount, but not without causing a stir by swiftly giving notice to over 200 families that they must vacate the ranch and take belongings with short notice.While listed, however, the ranch was highly sought-after by prospective buyers from around the world, reportedly pulling over 50 official showings to interested parties.So all-in-all, we don't know precisely how much John Dutton's ranch is worth, but it's fun to plug and play with some numbers!

And yet on the show the family has barely $10M in cash reserves with an annual tax liability of $11M. How do they even stay afloat…let alone use a private heli to get around the ranch? Show is not based on logic.
