What products will Intuit no longer be selling and what is the effective date?
Intuit has made a decision that after July 31, 2024, it'll no longer sell new subscriptions of the following products:
- QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus
- QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus
- QuickBooks Desktop Mac Plus
- QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll
This change doesn't impact existing subscribers. Existing QuickBooks Desktop Plus and Desktop Payroll subscribers can continue to renew their subscriptions after July 31, 2024*. We will continue to provide security updates, product updates, and support for existing subscribers.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise products are also not impacted by this change and customers can continue to purchase Enterprise subscriptions after July 31, 2024.

This discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop applies to the U.S. only.
Are current subscriptions to QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus, and Desktop Enhanced Payroll going to be discontinued (sunset)?
QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus, and Desktop Enhanced Payroll won't be discontinued at this time. This is a stop sell only for new purchases, not a complete discontinuation (sunset) of this QuickBooks Desktop product line.
Existing subscribers of these products can continue to renew their subscriptions after July 31, 2024*. The stop sell only impacts new subscription purchases. We will continue to provide security updates, product updates, and support for existing subscribers.
Can a new customer buy QuickBooks Desktop Plus (Pro, Premier, or Mac) or Enhanced Payroll products before July 31, 2024 and continue to renew?
Yes, any customer who's purchased a QuickBooks Desktop Plus products or Enhanced Payroll subscription prior to July 31, 2024 will be able to continue to renew after July 31, 2024*.

Yes, you can renew your suspended QuickBooks Desktop Plus subscription. For any billing or payment issues, you are notified via email and Intuit provides a grace period of 30 days to renew after the final notice has been sent out.
Is QuickBooks Enterprise affected by this change?
No. QuickBooks Enterprise isn't affected by this stop sell of QuickBooks Desktop for new customers after July 31, 2024. New Enterprise customers can continue to purchase QuickBooks Enterprise subscriptions from phone sales agents and online after July 31, 2024. Existing Enterprise customers are also not affected by this discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop to new customers and can continue to renew their subscriptions upon their renewal dates.

We encourage customers on standalone QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, or Mac versions 2021 and older to consider moving to QuickBooks Online where you will always be on the most current version and for more efficient workflows and the flexibility to work from anywhere, so you can spend less time at the office and get more done.
